The Tech was very kind and walked me through several steps, including checking for add-ins, doing a simple 'repair,' and uninstalling and reinstalling Office. Only what I described in the above paragraph. I am not receiving any error messages when this happens. About halfway through spell-checking, the program froze after a moment, a blue circle appeared on the screen Word closed and then reopened. I restarted Word, opened a document, clicked "Editor" and went through the spell check. The only Add-in listed was a OneNote for Windows, which I deleted. I followed your instructions to locate the Add-ins.
